How glorious is this weather? I am pink-pink-pink from some exposure yesterday, and as a result, I am sitting inside waiting for the sun to sink a little before I expose my poor skin to its naked rays.
I am thinking food and had a browse of my summer archives. Here’s some recipes you might want to try. Eat outside of course, that’s what I am planning to do. Bring on the summer picnics.
Prawn Curry

Burnt aubergine with sweet peppers and red onion

Broad beans, green garlic & mint bruschetta

Fregola Sarda with Asparagus, heirloom tomato and goat’s curd

Tagliatelle with Purple Sprouting Broccoli, Anchovies and Pecorino

Chargrilled peach & speck salad

Broad Bean and Prosciutto Carbonara

Crab Linguine

New reader here; tagged in from the Times article (congrats). Loving it so far. The most recent recipes you’ve posted look to-die-for. I’m especially intrigued by the tagliatelle with purple flowering broccoli. I had a similar type of bruschetta last year (split pea and prosciutto) and have been dreaming about it ever since; looking forward to trying your version. Thanks for a great post!
I remember how you funny ole Poms whip off your kit at the first sign of sun, generally with rather lobster-like results ;P
Seriously though, I’m sorry, sunburn sucks (as a *Kiwi,* not Aussie!) I know how it feels – lots of aloe vera, stat!
Actually, come to think of it, not sure if all Brits qualify as Poms or is just the English? If so, I take it back ^^;
Lady! I’m Irish! Just have very pale skin. Only my face was exposed.
