Missing Camera – taken at Electric Picnic. Please Help

Hello folks! So this is not a recipe post or a food post, just a little plea. It looks like someone took my camera and lenses plus lots of memory cards not yet backed up, and my ipod touch from my prep kitchen at Electric Picnic last night. I was there until very late so it was late at night or this morning. I am hoping it was an accident and someone will find it. Or that if someone took it they will have a change of heart and get it back to me.

My camera has my only pictures of my pop up café and lots of my little niece and nephew. There’s lots of videos and pics plus recipe ideas on my ipod touch. They were both in a small black bag. I can’t afford to replace it just now so I am really in a bind. I don’t actually care if someone took it, just please get it back to me. Or the memory cards at least.

So, if you were there would really appreciate you asking around.

*fingers crossed*

I like food. I like to make food. Eat food. Photograph food. Write about food. Mainly in London but when I am lucky or organised further afield.

    • Yes but that takes ages to come through and besides I really would like my photos and iPod touch back too :( If I got those back, I would be happy.

  1. What a bitter ending to such a lovely weekend – I saw you colecting your Bridgestone Award, so sorry that this happened. Hope you get everything back.

    • Well otherwise it was a terrific weekend! The thieves are attracted to me like magnets this past 6 months: wallet, bike, camera & ipod all stolen!

  2. Saw your tweet on this – how terrible, must leave a nasty taste in your mouth over the weekend. As with anything it’s not the actual value of the item, it’s the irreplacable loss of valued pics, ideas, memories etc.
Do hope you have some luck finding them, best wishes x

I thought one of my cameras had been stolen the other week – thankfully it was just “silly old Jo” putting it somewhere so “safe”, even she (aka ‘me’) couldn’t find it. As you say it’s not the hardware that’s important; it’s all those special memories which you captured, to treasure; now lost to someone’s selfish sneakery. Disgraceful: I hope that at the very least you get those treasured memory cards back. And that someone in turn nicks summat of true, meaningful value, from that dirty little thief – just so they get an inkling of what it feels like. They deserve nothing less.
