Well I am excited and nervous in equal amounts. My second book BACON is going to print in September to be delivered in plenty of time for Christmas. For you early birds there is an early bird offer that runs only until Monday (Order HERE now!), 

If you want a copy, you need to act now. This will be a limited edition release and there is only going to be one small print run this year limited to 1000 books. I will be stuffing the envelopes myself – and of course, signing every copy! – and with 800 already sold that pretty much sorts my November! My priority is to deliver the book to my wonderful original backers, and also to print additional copies for readers who may have missed that opportunity or joined the fold since then.

There are 120 recipes in total with lots of twists and quirks and just plain delicious. Recipes include maple bacon swirl rolls with bourbon cream cheese maple frosting, peach and habanero bourbon bacon jam, braided bacon sausage bread, bacon buttermilk waffles, bacon salsa con queso, maple bacon fudge and bacon butter toffee. The recipes range from sensible and gorgeous to surprising and completely delicious. Everything is accessible and your friends and hangovers will love you forever and ever amen.  

When I decided to do this myself, it was a project born of barely bridled enthusiasm and a desire to do something fun and unrestricted. Of course, that was naive, but that is always a good place to start, even if it caused me a lot of trouble along the way. It has taken a long time but I am delighted with the book and I can’t wait to share it with you.

That may or may not be it. I will review next year and see if I will print some more but given how long it took to get here, and my desperate need for a break, I am leaving that for 2020. I also have another book that I want to start working on. I love this book but I feel like it has dominated a huge chunk of my life already and I am ready to let it out in the wild and then let it go.
