For 5 months in in 2009, I had a stall at Covent Garden Real Food Market, serving up food that I have featured on this blog.
The regular favourite and signature dish for 2009 was an 8 hour Slow Roast Pork Shoulder with Spiced Apple in a Homemade Blaa (fluffy Irish bread roll).
Several items were sold every week with at least one new item each week, including:
Slow Roast Lamb Shoulder with Smoky Aubergine & Tomato Relish; Chorizo & Pork Rolls; Caramelised Red Onion & Goat’s Cheese Tart; Spiced Pumpkin Soup; Black Bean Chilli with Chocolate; Pumpkin, Spinach, Goat’s Cheese & Chilli Rolls; Courgette, Tomato & Parmesan Tart; Frank Hederman’s Organic Irish Smoked Salmon, with homemade Irish Brown Soda Bread and Irish Cucumber Pickle. All served with gorgeous glasses of Bisol Jeio Prosecco.
I will be back in the future, although I am taking a little break for now, to focus on some travelling and recipe development. I do look forward to meeting more readers then. It was a real pleasure to meet so many last year.
