A Postcard from Barcelona
A very quick and sleepy postcard from me in Barcelona. Funny start to the day with a nosebleed on landing (which is all cleared up now), then the hotel lost my admittedly very late reservation. I booked it at the airport. Barcelona airport. It has been a rather busy week!
Everything was immediately smoothed by my friend and fellow blogger, Gabriella of Catavino who knew just what to do, and brought me to a terrific cheese shop (Formatgeria La Seu on C/ Dagueria 16) owned and run by a very interesting Scottish lady in an old buttery (yes, I ws surprised too!). We started with a tasting plate of very fine cheese, all Spanish and some lovely wine.
Then we proceeded to her gorgeous and very tiny bar, Zim, nearby for some some lovely Mallorcan wine, a glass of cava and some very fine tapas. Super reasonable at just under €16 for 2 glasses of red, 2 glasses of cava & some tapas.
And relax! I am going to shake London out of my hair for a few days. Hope you are all enjoying your bank holiday weekend.
