And, here we are! At the end of the Lapland trip. It was so wonderful. Beautiful countryside, lovely people and so interesting and mainly delicious. I am still not a lover of herring though (ducks for cover).
Another series of photos for you. More detail soon too.

Me, in Swedish Lapland. See, I told you I was there.

The Tree Hotel. I know.

How beautiful is that bright sunshine?

Lingonberries

Cranberries

Fishing (and actually catching) Rainbow Trout

Lingonberries for lunch, and extra for jam

Beautiful lake. We stayed on the shore of this.

Loved your postcards 1, 2 and 3! what a gorgeous trip and it’s a beautiful area isn’t it? I was about to say beautiful country but that might start a war between Finland and Sweden. Hope you waved at Santa from way up there too!
Thanks Catty! Very kind. Beautiful area and the trip was superb. We wouldn’t want to start a war now! ;)
The tree hotel looks amazing, what an incredible landscape. And btw love your coat in your first photo! J
Thanks Juel! I love that coat too. The Tree Hotel was very impressive :)

Thank you!
Am SO envious!! What a wonderful trip Niamh, must get my butt over to Sweden soon, if only to pick lingonberries and go fishing :)
Oh yes, you must be due a trip!
We must do that Copenhagen trip next year, I am sure we have earned it by now ;)
Just beautiful, Niamh! It looks like you had a superb time – very jealous; the food and countryside look glorious. (And I love your Paddington coat!)
Thanks Liz! And thanks re: the coat. PADDINGTON! Of course, that’s exactly what it is :)
Oh what a stunning country! I am so, so envious… Love the pic of Andrew fishing, bwhahahaha!
I know! WHO KNEW ANDREW COULD FISH, EH?! His fish tasted nice too, although he did forget to cook it. I had to remind him ;)
Loved Sweden, very keen to go back.
I don’t believe for a second that Andrew caught that fish! It was staged, staged, I tells ya! ;)
HE DID! HE REALLY DID!
I was as shocked as you, but hey, credit where it’s due :)
Now listen here sleuthy… I carried that fish miles… all the way from the Waitrose counter to the kitchen…
I absolutely adore the Nordic Countries – from the fresh clean air, the incredible cities and towns to the scrumptious food and drink. Beautiful snaps – making me very excited for my next trip to Copenhagen in a few months… eek. I’m going to eat like a bear! Hannah p.s. your coat is fab.
